One of our younger residents has family who is excited about using Skype to visit with the resident since they aren’t able to get here as often as they would like. The IN2L has been such a GREAT outlet for this resident as she is in her 50’s and unable to speak due to a stroke.  She can understand what is said and shakes her head or points to communicate.  Our staff person has “unleashed” her abilities through the cognitive games and has worked on crossing midline by using the adaptor.  It has really shown how the resident is still very intelligent and gives her the opportunity to participate in activities to the best of her ability whether in a group or 1:1 setting.

We are loving our IN2L computer system! Our clients are so enjoying it so much that they are going home and telling their families. Two of our families have asked if they can get any of the programs for their home computers. I saw that you have a new one that is out that looks like an IPad – hopefully coming soon!

Over the last ten years I have worked with multiple Clare Bridge programs and until seeing this program, I always felt there was something missing with the industries approach to the resident with Dementia/Alzheimer’s. The introduction of the IN2L has changed my mind. The program is one of the most innovative and engaging approaches I have seen in the past few years. On the day the program was introduced to the Claire Bridge it took off not only with the residents, but with families and staff. I have on numerous occasion walked in the Claire Bridge to find Staff engaged with residents on the IN2L program and residents who would otherwise not be engaged setting at the screen intently participating. The variety of the programming lends itself to a multitude of topics and activities, so if one is not working with a resident or group, another can be found to work. The families of the residents have all stated their amazement in the interaction of their love ones with IN2L and love the ability to get emails, photos and videos for their love ones. From a Marketing and Sales stand point it is definitely a “Bigger and Better” story. And, it is something that no other memory care program in the area has. When we show the IN2L program to potential family members they are very impressed with the program and the potential for their love one. Referral sources are also impressed with the program and with the stimulation our residents receive.

"The IN2L system allows the therapists to custom design treatment programs for their residents, beyond the traditional means.  With the use of interactive games, puzzles, and internet access, as well as the adaptability of the system for residents with disabilities, we can reach our treatment goals in ways that are innovative and enjoyable for our residents.  Occupational Therapy is based on achieving treatment goals through the use of meaningful activity.  The IN2L system increases our ability to do this."

"I have seen It’s Never 2 Late help elders and their families use this modern technology and customized content to reinforce a sense of self and maintain strong relationships. This is a brilliant use of mass communication to help support individuality in elders."

"Volunteers of America believe that the elders we serve in our assisted living communities have much to gain from the connectivity benefits of computers and the Internet. Research is increasingly telling us that staying mentally active promotes healthy aging. Conventional computer technology challenges many of our residents, and so we have partnered with It's Never 2 Late to provide adaptive computer systems at selected assisted living facilities. Designed for individuals who may or may not have computer experience, the technology engages them physically, emotionally, mentally and socially. We believe that this technology has significantly enriched the lives of our residents."

IN2L has really catapulted us to the next level in therapeutic recreation, and senior life enhancement, and when utilized and implemented correctly, it becomes an invaluable tool.

We are currently using a system in one of our buildings specifically for our licensed Alzheimers unit, with fantastic results. The cognitive stimulation, reinforcement, and therapeutic benefit has proven to be an integral part of our dementia programming.

I truly believe in the benefit it provides our clients. I've seen it first hand, and I'm amazed. Alone, it is simply cool technology that seems like another bells and whistles system. Implemented properly, it serves not only as a vital component to your therapy and activities department, but as a natural marketing tool.

We utilize this system with training, profile surveys, and the utilization of matrixes and logs. It integrates beautifully, as the staff really takes to it quickly and enthusiastically. Most importantly, implementation, which is what I was most concerned about was much easier than I anticipated.

I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoy our IN2L! We as a team at Heritage of Emerson are continually exploring all the benefits and fun the IN2L has to offer….I love the Pilates…( I am not a good exercise person) and this is one of our opportunities we have to involve several residents at once for a fun and a beneficial group activity. I observe the residents moving and taking part in the exercise and really engaging. We even have a resident who can only move one arm due to MS and she engages in the movements and when there are feet motions we turn it into arm or hand motion for her so that she can actively participate as she feels able. They visit about it afterwards and we all feel so good. I am able to offer this type of opportunity to our residents because with the IN2L, I have a guide to teach us at my finger tips! (I actually look forward to exercise when I am doing it!) We also love the Karaoke!!! Thank you for your creativity and this wonderful resource!!!!.
